MJ Holms is an artist and storyteller whose creative life is built on an enduring appreciation for the emotional complexity of ordinary moments. Her BF in Art History with an emphasis in Photography shaped her early understanding of craft, helping her develop a discerning eye for detail, and subtle human expression—skills that influenced her successful career as a portrait photographer. Her time studying art in Florence, Italy, further enriched her aesthetic approach and deepened her understanding of classical form and narrative.
A resident of the Pacific Northwest, MJ is both a mother and step-mother to five children. Her experiences within a large, blended family continually inform her work, offering a rich landscape of relationship, identity, and resilience. She has held various leadership roles in her community, positions that have strengthened her belief in the importance of connection, shared advocacy, and support for families.
